NSS College of Engineering, Palakkad, is one of the oldest engineering institutions
in Kerala. The college was founded in 1960 by the Nair Service Society under the
leadership of late Bharatha Kesari Mannathu Padmanabhan, during the second five
year plan with the assistance of the central and state governments, under the grant-in-aid
scheme, and is affiliated to the University of Calicut. This most prestigious and
highly reputed college has been responsible for turning out large number of academically
brilliant graduates who have made an imprint on the industrial scene in the country.
The college is situated at NSS Nagar, Akathethara, about 9 kms from the industrial
town of Palakkad and 5 kms from the Malampuzha Dam.The college campus, only 4 kms
away from Palakkad Junction railway station, can be approached along the Olavakkode
Malampuzha road or the olavakkode Railway colony road. The nearest Airports are
at Coimbatore and Nedumbasseri International Airport.

The Alumni

The Alumni Association of N.S.S. College of Engineering Palakkad is active and has
succeeded in forming satellite chapters in and around the country. The group chapters
are actively participating in the development of the institution. The role of our
fellow members in various chapters is remarkable and effective, by which the association
could do substantial service to our Alma Mater. The Group chapters have initiated
endowment schemes and many of our students are benefited by the same. The financial
assistance rendered to the deserving students considering their academic competence
and financial difficulty, has been a driving force for their success. The association
holds regular meetings and we discuss various developmental activities of the institution.
The group chapters energetically participate in the proceedings and place productive
suggestions. The College authority is rendering all possible support for the fruitful
venture of the association. The alumni has active local chapters world wide including
Bangalore(Necab), Dubai, Palakkad,

e-One(1982-86 batch): eOne is an association with a difference; creative in its mission, constructive in its actions.
To understand eOne, we have to travel back to the early eighties, when engineering education in Kerala was still a bit exclusivist and confined to mere five colleges, apart from the REC. In 1982, the Kerala Govt. announced the Engineering Entrance Exams for the first time. This decision activated a churning process which brought in a fresh mixture of students from varied backgrounds and academic capabilities into that first batch. The monotone of the scholarly meritorious who populated earlier batches were gone and in came a batch which had representations from every capability strata, bundled together as if by a game of chance. This heterogeneous mix gave rise to a unique batch bonding and commitment, which was very much in evidence during all inter-batch events of that time.Read More
